Motorcyclist safety, on debate in Madrid

On 18th December, the Abertis Foundation organised a round table in Madrid on “The sustainable mobility and safety of motorcyclists”.

The debate formed part of the third Road Planet meeting promoted by Prisma Publicaciones (Planeta Group) and Ponle Freno (Atresmedia). It just so happened that the meeting was held only a few days after the demonstration in the capital city under the slogan “Motorbikes aren’t the problem but the solution”.

The round table was moderated by Aquilino Molinero, member of the expert committee of the Ponle Freno platform; and was formed by Cristina Zamorano, head of Road Safety Centre in the subsidiary Autopistas; María del Carmen Plaza, head of the Road Safety Technical Unit of the Directorate General for Roads and Infrastructures for the Community of Madrid; and Juan Manuel Reyes, chairman of the Mutua Motera Association.

Also taking part in the event was the director general for Traffic, Pere Navarro. Along with him, the director of the Abertis Foundation, Sergi Loughney, used the occasion to present the El Apagón campaign, which was implemented that very night in Ibiza and Valencia.

The Abertis Strategic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Plan establishes the involvement of the Group in the communities where it carries out its business.

The exhibition Miró: la experiencia de mirar” (Miró: the experience of looking)was held at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires (Argentina) from 25th November 2017 to 25th February 2018.

In the previous summary we indicated that the artist Joan Miró maintained a close link with the avant-garde scene in Paris from his youth until a ripe old age. The exhibition sponsored by Abertis at the Grand Palais enabled the Catalan painter to return to the French capital.

In February 1917, Europe was immersed in the 1st World War. Pablo Picasso was 36 years old then, but was already a great artist who had started the Cubism revolution.
